Solvent free lamination is a method for the composite of two or more substrates by using a solvent-free adhesive. The solventless laminating machine is the equipment which can be applied for a solvent-free adhesive composite.
The laminated substrates mainly include BOPP, PET, NYLON, CPP, PE, VMPET, VMCPP, Aluminum foil, etc.
Solventless lamination has many advantages such as reducing cost, improving product quality, environmental protection, safety and stability production, etc. Taking WZ2146 solventless adhesive for food flexible packaging as an example, the solventless lamination is safer and more healthy, compared to the dry lamination process, because there is no solvent in the process of lamination, avoiding the use of organic solvents.
There is no solvent residue during lamination, reducing the contamination of packaging content, especially for the packaging of food, pharmaceuticals, etc. The solventless lamination can reduce energy consumption as it’s no needed to equip with a drying oven.
Solvent-free lamination can achieve a high-speed composite production, generally approximately at 300m/min, with high production efficiency. The plant layout of the solvent free lamination is compact with fewer operators, reducing much labor costs.
