Solvent-based adhesives are industrial adhesives that use solvents as a carrier for the resin. They are quite versatile and can be used across different end-uses, in many differentfilm lamination applications. They are very high performance and are great on lamination applications, for bonding difficult-to-bond substrates.

Solvent-based adhesives have gotten a bad name for themselves over the years, based on their name. They’re called solvent-based adhesives because they use solvents as their base - but this does not mean they have a harmful amount of solvents in them. Many solvent-based adhesives have completely safe levels of solvents in them, and will not adversely effect the users’ health.

Solvent-based adhesive are very quick. Designed for more demanding and long-term applications, they are ideal in industries where speed of application and production is needed.

Not all solvent-based adhesives are flammable - in fact many of these adhesives can resist a high temperature range.

It provides a very strong bond adhesive, and are generally used for more difficult-to-bond substrates.
